At Kings College Hospital Dubai I am the Director of the Intestinal Rehabilitation Centre and the Director of Education. Dr. Tzivinikos is a Consultant Pediatric Gastroenterologist and founder of the Gastroenterology Department at Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital in Dubai. He also works as a Clinical Associate Professor at Mohamed Bin Rashid University College of Medicine . Graduated in 1999 from Aristotle University in Hellas and trained in pediatrics and PGHAN in the UK,. He holds an MSc with merit in Pediatric Gastroenterology from Queen Mary University London. He is elected Fellow of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health and prior to moving to UAE he was the clinical lead at the Pediatric Gastroenterology Division at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool, UK . He is the founder and HOD ( 2018-2023) of the Paediatric Gastroenterology and pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Al Jalila Children’ s Specialty Hospital , Dubai , UAE . He is internationally active in education ( founder the ESPGHAN IBD Advanced course and EPSGHAN Foreign Body Ingestion course) and he has served in ESPGHAN Council ( 2012-2015) and ESPGHAN GI Committee ( 2018-2024 ) and he is an active member of several ESPGHAN working groups participating on the development of numerous position statements and guidelines, resulting on over 70 peer reviewed publications.
